Here is our 4th installment of The Ultimate Top 20 Best Anime Openings! The following anime openings were decided by feedback left on our videos. We included a recap of all the openings we've presented over the last eight years. (This video has 80 anime openings.) How do we chose these?
Unlike our other lists, where we usually hold a vote, these openings are chosen by observations we've made from the comments viewers have left on our videos.

How are the openings ranked?
There are a couple of metrics we use to determine position, one being frequency of requests for it. A few others are, symbolism (NGE Opening), status as a classic (Cowboy Bebeop's Opening), and fan attachment (Angel Beats! Opening) *Please note: this is only used for "The Ultimate Top 20 Best Anime Openings" series and is not used on any of our other lists. Our other lists, with the exception of the top 5's, are decided completely by our viewers voting.*

What do those "redo", "redux", and "return" subtitles mean?
We give an internal name to each list when we develop them, we thought they sounded cool enough to be released as a subtitle for each list. Each of the words represent something we were trying to accomplish with each list.
Redo 2007 (List I) - A redo of our very first list called "Top 5 Anime Openings" based on our viewers' feedback.
Redux 2009 (List II) - Essentially meaning, "to bring back or use again" we wanted to address some additional openings suggested to us by viewers.
Return 2014 (List III) - Top5Anime returned from it's 5 year hiatus and brought this series and new suggestions back with it.
Rebellion 2015 (List IV) - Over the last year, we've done a lot of things to try and show we are not just another "anime tops" channel. We hope this list becomes the embodiment of that effort, as we cater to all anime fans of various genres.


*RWBY Discussion*
You're probably here because you were confused about why we included the RWBY opening. First, we are fully aware it was not created in Japan. Second, we felt that if we want to continue calling anime an art form, we need to consider that art forms are location agnostic. We know Anime is short hand for "Japanese Animation", but it also seems perfectly valid to say "Japanese Anime" which implies there's other types of "Japanese Animation" style art. If we consider this, the requirement of a series needing to be created in Japan disappears. That was our logic at least ^_^;
