영화 '더 문'은 달 탐사를 떠난 대한민국의 우주 대원이 예기치 않은 사고로 달에서 조난을 당하고, 전 우주센터장 재국을 비롯해 지구에 남은 사람들이 그를 무사히 귀환시키기 위해 치열한 사투를 벌이는 이야기다.
