This is the explanation (SPOILERS AHEAD)


Dexter is a outgoing social person (aka an extrovert) but Luke is not outgoing and is the complete opposite (aka an introvert) they are complete opposites on everything like height, style, intelligence, and socializing and that why the title is called Opposites attract but going into the story it starts off by show Dexter in class listening to the teacher introduce Luke, Luke is focused on his studies and does not talk or communicate a lot, so Dexter wanted to be his friend but got rejected instantly. Luke on the other hand didn’t care and was annoyed so he just ignored Dexter, but Dexter had already made it his goal to befriend Luke! In many part of the video it shows Dexter asking to be friends with Luke but soon after a couple months they started to chat and Dexter completed his goal! So one day he went to his friend Sayori’s house and found out that Luke and her were siblings, they had lots of fun together but Luke and Dexter were slowly falling for each other the more they talked. Soon after Dexter and Luke went to the mall to spend time together, but Dexter got kidnapped by Luke’s Ex-gf Ashley. Ashley is a vampire, she cheated on Luke and broke his heart, that’s why he didn’t want to make friends or have connections with anybody, but when he found out that the one he loves the most got kidnapped by Ashley he was furious. He broke in and had the cops take Ashley away for good and ran to help with dexters wounds. Int he end they spent a lot of time together and Dexter ended up confessing to Luke, and Luke happily accepted! (There’s a lot more I could have added in the movie but it was lagging really hard)
