In this video, Kat and I make a haiku book with a wooden cover made from quarter sawn white oak. We use the xTool D1 laser (https://bit.ly/30ZCagR) to burn some of her artwork onto the front and back covers of the book. The haiku book is going to be a birthday gift for her friend that she made from a collection of haikus from friends and family. There's a lot of love poured into this gift.

I also engraved my logo on a couple of inexpensive candle holders to try out the xTool rotary attachment. It was simple to use and the result was great. I'm really happy with the xTool D1 laser. It has ample capacity to accommodate objects up to 16" x 17" an has an accuracy of up to 0.08mm x 0.08 mm. It combines the beams to 2 laser modules to achieve 10W of laser output power. The 10W D1 is equivalent to 15W of an ordinary diode laser machine. It comes with free software called Laserbox Basic and you can use the laser both online or offline, so a connection to the Internet is not required.
