The 4th day of our Tripura bike trip from Shillong toTripura via Assam was the most exhausting one. The initial plan was to enter Tripura and stay at Dharmanagar, from where we were to visit Unakoti the next day. The distance was around 285 kms. Accordingly we started from Shillong early morning and after crossing Jowai, Lad Rymbai eventually reached Lukha river bridge at Sonapur in Norpuh reserve forest. Then we entered Assam and reached Badarpur beside Barak river. Here we paid a brief visit to the ruins of Badarpur Fort.Then came Karim Ganj and finally we entered Tripura through Kadamtala. While passing through Patharkandi bypass Google told us that our desired destination Unakoti will be cloed the next day which is Monday. Hence it was of no use staying at Dharmanagar. On the spot we changed our plan and decided to go Khowai rather.....It increased our total distance by more than 100 kms. After Dharmanagar our road went through Panisagar, Pencharthal (already sundown) and through winding hilly broken terrible road reached the prominent town Kumarghat.... But the problem didn't end there. Dark broken road continued for next 70 kms till we reached Khowai and met our friend who arranged our accommodation at Swapanpuri Guest House...
