Hey guys!! This video is for any teacher out there that is struggling with their identity as a teacher over test scores or data that makes you think you're less of an effective teacher because of it. We all got into teaching because it was and hopefully still is our passion. We never got into teaching to compete with other teachers on test scores. That's why I was never for merit pay for test scores. What the heck was someone thinking? What kind of teacher is that going to produce if every teacher out there is gonna teach to the test and drill and kill these kids? These kids need care, compassion, and teachers that love them for who they are and not what percent ranking they can provide for your ego. I have to remind myself that they're kids that want to love learning and not robots to program and command. Thanks for listening.
