Yes, this is fake, so don't go believing it's real. I made this as sort of a test of how accurately I could recreate SM64 beta footage from this time period, and I'd say I did a pretty good job (although I am missing a few things).


This was part of a promotional reel that Nintendo sent out around a month before E3 1996. Here we can see Bob-Omb Battlefield, as well as a few changes, such as the bridge being replaced by a dirt path, some large structure that can be seen at the end, as well as some different textures and HUD icons.
