Today I am Sharing with you the technique of making home made liquid glass. Liquid glass gives an effect of glass because of the reflection it produced.
Before attempting to this technique please make sure to
1. Attempt it in open air because of the fumes and smell of thinner.
2. Always wear gloves and mask. I knew how to handle the solution so I was not wearing it but you should wear.
3. Cover your work space with any sheet.
Take some quantity of solvent thinner in a glass container. Dissolve big amount of styrofoam in solvent thinner. Use wooden stick if needed. The styrofoam disappear when you put it in thinner solvent. Keep this mixture in tight container for about one week before using. The viscosity of solution will change after a week. Use it on your craft. It gives a look of glass or resin effect and it’s completely water resistant.
Please make sure there is no hard and fast rule to mix thinner and styrofoam. I just learned it and I am enjoying this technique.
