Wildfire in Prestwick near Newcastle Airport, Firefighters attended the incident on Wednesday afternoon 14/06/23 . In response to this Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service Sent, 2 High Volume Pumps, 2 4x4 To support the response to the fire and at least 7 appliances attended.

North East Ambulance Service HART also attended this incident along with Northumbria Police and Northumberland Fire & Rescue.

The fire was extinguished late on Sunday 18/06/23 taking 4 days to extinguish the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
