The brave Nordheimer Kommando-Karl finally met his fate in the end, but he didn't go down without a fight, by Crom. Countless of Shemite tribesmen died by his axe.

The battle began shortly after the Yamatai sellsword Yuujiro Hanma was slain by Kommando-Karl, following a dispute which originated from Kommando-Karl finding Hanma fondling one of the young dancers Kommando-Karl had under his protection, in the treasure seeker settlement of Sepermeru.

This commotion gave way for a few ill-trained local Shemitic tribesmen to take up arms agains Kommando-Karl, which they of course soon came to regret. These villagers who called themselves "Ottomans" were not trained soldiers, and a great number of them were slain by the hero, but as more and more villagers joined the skirmish, it soon turned into a free-for-all battle, which by then had moved down to the great Brim Lake and surrounding areas.

When one of the villagers stole Kommando-Karl's wolfhead helmet, an heirloom which had been in his family for generations, he lost all his senses and went, as men of the north would say, berserk.

This frenzied state made Karl lose his focus and muddled his mind, leading to his unfortunate but heroic demise.
