Yielding to nobody at a round about.

I was towing about 9,000 pounds and had to stop unexpectedly due to a driver either not understanding round abouts or being excessively cautious.

When drivers do things other drivers don’t expect, like stopping at a yield sign when there is nobody to yield to, accidents can happen.

No - I didn’t almost hit them - I was following far enough back that I had plenty of time to stop. I could have stopped faster but I was trying to avoid a load shift so I used all of the available pavement to stop as smoothly as I could.

Had they gone we could have both made it through the round about before the approaching truck.

If they keep this behavior up eventually they’ll do it in front of someone that isn’t following at a safe distance.

All is well that ends well.
