Cetirizine is also known as the brand name: Zyrtec there are a variety of products available for both adults and children(display on screen)

Cetirizine is most commonly used for: the common cold or seasonal allergies and for itching or swelling of the skin (hives). No matter what your doctor has you taking it for, cetirizine is usually taken by mouth once daily and is safe to take either with meals or on an empty stomach.

Standard dosing of cetirizine ranges from: 10 mg tablet for adults, 5 mg-10 mg chewable tablets for children, 1mg/mL- 5mg/mL for childrens liquid.

If you have kidney problems or develop new kidney problems, the dose of certizine could need to be adjusted by your doctor or pharmacist.

Some common side effects with cetirizine include headache and tiredness.
Some less common side effects with cetirizine include trouble sleeping, dizziness, and dry mouth.

While taking cetirizine, remember it is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have:
