Josh Buck will be present on the history of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad (NWP) and some of the predecessor railroads of Humboldt County. With a particular focus on the Willits - Eureka construction era (1907 -1914). A route plagued from the beginning by volatile geology, frequent flooding, and accidents galore. The presentation will include historical and modern photographs to contrast what has changed and what has largely remained the same since its inception.
