Ribs with garlic is delicious and very simple to make. The ribs are crispy outside and tender inside, and that amazing garlicky taste makes it even more appetizing.
Ingredients:
- Ribs ~2 lb
- Brown Sugar 2 Tbsp
- Garlic (a few cloves)
- Shallot (half)
- Black Pepper
- Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp
- Five Spice Powder 1/2 tsp
- Sesame Powder 1 tsp
- Dark Soy Sauce 1 tsp
- Oyster Sauce 1 Tbsp
- Red Fermented Bean Curd ~1.5 pc
- Rice Wine 2 Tbsp
- Honey 1 Tbsp
- Water
- Salt
- Oil 3 Tbsp
Direction:
- Cut the ribs but not all the way through
- Sprinkle salt on and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes
- Rinse and pat dry the ribs, then add brown sugar. Mix them well and marinate for about 5 minutes,
- Slice half of a shallot and mince garlic
- Add black pepper, ginger powder, five spice powder, sesame powder, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, red fermented bean curd, and rice wine
- Add shallots and garlic
- Mix them well and marinate for at least 6 hours
- Take the ribs out after 6 hours and coat both sides with oil
- Make a box with a piece of aluminum foil. Add a little water to the air fryer, put the aluminum foil in, place a small rack on it, and out the ribs on the rack with bone side up
- For ~2 lbs of ribs, it takes about 20 minutes in the air fryer, and the first side typically takes a longer time. Set the temperature to 360°F for 12 minutes
-Flip the ribs after 12 minutes
-Set the temperature to 360°F for 8 minutes
-Add honey to left over marinate and mix them
-Brush marinade on meat after time's up
-Put it back in air fryer again. Set the temperature to 300°F for 1 minutes. If your ribs are not fully cooked, increase the time accordingly
-Take the ribs out of the air fryer, cut them apart and serve
