7 principles to help you navigate successfully the season of parenting grown kids:

1: Your role as a parent must change:

2: Unsolicited advice is usually taken as criticism

3: YOU CAN’T IGNORE YOUR CHILD’S CULTURE
You raised them but their culture has had great influence on them, become a student of their culture.

4: THEY WILL NEVER KNOW HOW FAR THE TOWN IS IF YOU CARRY THEM ON YOUR BACK: ARE YOU ENABLING YOUR ADULT CHILD OR HELPING?

5: YOUR JOB IS TO MOVE THEM FROM DEPENDENCE TO
INDEPENDENCE

6: YOU CAN’T WANT IT MORE THAN THEY WANT IT
WHEN YOUR ADULT CHILD MAKES REGRETTABLE CHOICES they have to have the desire to change and get help.

7: FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE AND RESPONSIBILITY IS THE GOAL

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke 16:10
