Our guest in this episode is our new friend Indie Nile, who is a creator, drag artist and film director. Indie's father was born in the Palestinian village of Qula, and his family was driven out by the Zionist settlers during the Nakba in 1948.
In the last several months, Indie shifted the focus of his work from Drag Therapy to making brilliant YouTube videos, exploring Zionist society and his own Palestinian identity, with a lot of depth, compassion, humor and flair.
In our conversation we compared and contrasted our life stories and experiences, and discovered that even though we come from different backgrounds, we share the same deep wish that all inhabitants of the land of Palestine can live together, peacefully and equally. This allowed us to uncover our true core identity: caring for the well being and freedom of all living beings.
