Bing Slamet (born in Cilegon, Banten, 27 September 1927 - died in Jakarta, 17 September 1974 at the age of 46) who was born with the name Ahmad Syech Albar was one of Indonesian martial lawmakers of his time with Kwartet Jaya, a group consisting of Bing Slamet , Ateng, Iskak and Eddy Sud. His name actually first fluttered when joining the Eka Sapta music group which began in 1963, along with some famous names such as Yamin Wijaya, Ireng Maulana, Itje Kumaunang, Benny Mustapha and Idris Sardi. In addition he also played a lot in comedy films in the era of the 1960s and 1970s. To commemorate his departure, Titiek Puspa created a song titled Bing.
In 1950, Bing began to set foot in the world of cinema as an actor. Between 1950 and 1952, Bing Slamet was active in the Navy Service of Surabaya and Jakarta. In 1952 when Bing was stationed again in Jakarta, he joined RRI Jakarta and began to actively fill the event with Adi Karso. His talent and musical ability began to peak when he joined RRI until 1962.

In 1955, Bing Slamet began to incarnate his achievements by becoming a Star of Radio champion for this type of Entertainment. Black LP Bing was released on the label Happy Record and Rhythm Record. He skillfully sings keroncong styles to pop and jazz. In addition to singing, Bing was playing the guitar as well as writing songs. One of the first songs he wrote with jazz guitarist, Dick Abell, was 'Anxious'.

Bing Slamet can sing the Minang 'Sansaro language fluently, with Bing's elegant singing' Selayang Pandang 'from the Malay sphere. Bing is an all-round singer who has unparalleled flexibility.
