Almost the same as Surakarta, Yogyakarta, Mangkunegaran and Pakualaman, in this city there are also four ketaron which still stand today. The palaces are Kasepuhan, Kanoman, Kaprabonan and Kacirebonan. Yes. All of them are in Cirebon City. The difference is, if Surarakta and Yogyakarta are the successors of Islamic Mataram and were only founded in 1755 after the Giyanti Agreement, Kasepuhan and Kanoman have been established since 1677, namely after their last sultan was taken prisoner by Amangkurat 1, the King of Islamic Mataram and then died there. So his kingdom was then divided among his successors. Not only was it split into Kasepuhan and Kanoman, but then it was split again into Kaprabonan and Kacirebonan. So there are four in total.

Uniquely, even though now the Sultanate inherited from Sunan Gunungjati is only a cultural heritage, the palace is still standing and the title of sultan is still continued to this day. How can the complete story be like that? In this video, I will visit all the palaces that are still standing and explain their stories to you all. Enjoy watching.
