අප මෙම සුන්දර ගමන ආර්ම්බ කරේ රබුක්කන දුම්‍රිය ස්තානයේ සිටයි. ඔබත් නැරබුම් මැදිරියක උඩරට දුම් රිය මාර්ගයේ තවම ගිහින් නැති නම් ඔබ අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම යා යුතු ගමනක් තමයි මේ දුම්රිය ගමන. කිලෝමීටර් 292.3 ක් දිග වන මෙම මාර්ගය කොළඹ කොටුව දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ සිට බදුල්ල දුම්රිය ස්ථානය දක්වා ගමන් කරයි . මෙය 19 වන සියවසේ අගභාගයේ සහ 20 වන සියවසේ මුල් භාගයේ ඉදිකරන ලද.හෝර්ටන් තැන්න ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානයට මායිම්ව, සශ්‍රීක හරිත කඳු, තේ වතු, තුන බූමි සහ මනරම් නිම්න හරහා ඇතැම් අවස්තා වලදී මීදුම අතරින් ගමන් කරයි.
කොළඹ කොටුවේ සිට බදුල්ල දක්වා දුම්රියන්  දිනපතා ක්‍රියාත්මක වන අතර දවස පුරා විවිධ දුම්රිය සේවා ඇත. දුම්රිය සේවා වර්ගය අනුව ගමනේ කාලසීමාව වෙනස් විය හැක. සීඝ්‍රගාමී දුම්රිය සාමාන්‍යයෙන් බදුල්ලට ළඟා වීමට පැය 8-9 ක් පමණ කාලයක් ගත වන අතර මන්දගාමී දුම් රිය සඳහා වැඩි කාලයක් ගත වේ. Trains from Colombo Fort to Badulla operate daily and there are various train services throughout the day. Journey duration may vary depending on the type of train service. Express trains usually take around 8-9 hours to reach Badulla while slow trains take longer.)
