Having lived and traveled in Indonesia for almost 3 years, we've been able to significantly improve our Indonesian through our interactions with the local people. While visiting family in New York, Rob decided to stop by the NY Indonesian Food Bazar in Queens. This bazar is held once a month, and is a place where local Indonesians cook and sell homemade Indonesian food. Rob played a light hearted joke and told the vendors that he knew nothing about Indonesia or the food, and then engaged in conversation with them in Indonesian, which led to some pretty funny reactions.
