Heritage Station is a light rail station of the CTrain network of Calgary. Heritage Station is located on the Southern leg of the Red Line, in between Chinook Station and Southland Station. Heritage Station is located in the Southwest Calgary community of Haysboro, next to Heritage Drive SW. The station is located near the quadrant border between the Southeast and Southwest, with MacLeod Trail sitting only a couple blocks away.

Heritage Station was opened as one of the original Calgary CTrain stations in 1981. It sees considerable ridership stemming from the large amount of bus connections the station serves. Bus routes from Heritage Station service Mount Royal University, Heritage Park, Deerfoot Meadows, Rockyview Hospital, Henry Wise Wood High School, Lord Beaverbrook High School, STEM Innovation Academy Junior High, and Foundations for the Future Charter School.

In my personal opinion, Heritage Station ranks somewhere in the range of the 6th or 7th worst station on the Calgary CTrain network (as in worst for crime, cleanliness, etc). I'd say Heritage Station is easily worse than any of the CTrain stations in the Northeast quadrant of Calgary, but it isn't as bad as the majority of Southeast CTrain Stations or some of the other Southern Red Line stations. Heritage Station isn't that bad during day, BUT from experience it gets REALLY bad afterdark (although not as bad as Southland). Heritage Station is located in one of the more iffier areas of Calgary, but an area that isn't too bad - it is probably better to describe Haysboro, Kingsland and Acadia as declining areas of Calgary rather than ones that are already up there as bad areas. If you have walked around the area surrounding Heritage Station though, it's pretty clear as day that the area has fallen far from grace.
