Olivia Rodrigo - “GUTS”

Olivia is pretty unique as an artist, there isn’t a mainstream pop artist doing what she does - maybe no one ever has? Pop artists, and female pop artists in particular, always seem to have a procedure they follow and there isn’t much room for creativity or experiments. That’s not the case with Olivia - the way she puts her songs together and particularly her lyrics really is something that we cannot find elsewhere in the pop scene. There’s an effortlessness component to her music that simply works - think it’s her honesty, really. She looks real and sounds real - and if you see her live it’s a whole different level as a lot more comes forward. She is indeed a brilliant performer and one of the most promising pop artists out there! No crazy diva vocals some might say, no particular singing ability? Who cares about that! She delivers and boy, she does sing. This might be my favorite in GUTS, check it out:
