This project started from the Unreal Third Person Template.

This video shows some gameplay abilities being used to equip and unequip the sword. The blend space is changed on equip and unequip too. The player can collect the sword and gain 25 health utilizing gameplay effects which adds to a health attribute using the Gameplay Ability System (GAS). Gameplay cues are used for the VFX and SFX on pickup.

There is a a soft lock targeting system that when the player has the dagger equipped they will focus in on the closest enemy character. When the player leaves the vicinity of the enemy the focus is removed.

The player attacks the character with two different animations depending on which side the enemy is on. Sword trails using niagara vfx have been added to each animation.
