The Amy Foundation hosted its first hybrid Gala Dinner in honour of Phenomenal Women on Saturday 4th December hosted by Century City Conference Centre and supported by #multimedia and Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages. The aim was to raise funds for the after school and youth skills development programmes.

The programme lineup included the arts and culture after school learners who were guided and mentored by Aviva Pelham, Paul Johnson and Roxy Levy and they produced the most wonderful performances including Poetry, Marimba supported by Marimba Jam, Hip Hop, Choir and traditional dance.

The highlight of the evening was hearing Prof Thuli Madonsela deliver her keynote address... it was inspiring and uplifting. She has definitely paved the way for many young women and her words were a huge motivation to many in the room.

Lana English and Victor Siljeur enthralled the audience with their performance.

Our emcee for the evening was Rob Van Vuuren who did an amazing job keeping the ship on course and the audience entertained.

The online auction hosted by Click Auction was a huge success, raising in excess of half a million rand which will go towards running our very needed programmes in the townships.
