Loaded my pack with about 20-25% of my body weight and trekked up the local foothills to the pasture.
Took off my boots about 1/4 of the way up the 3 mile out and back- channelling Michael Easter's 'Burn the Ships' concept, but for my barefoot rendition I like to call it 'Burn the Boots'.
Baring my soles gives added grounding and acupressure benefits as well as added challenge to my intentional limit-pushing. I've made a peaceful looking video here, but in truth this trek was a tough one!
I didn't practice yoga asana this trip, and recovered at home with a magnesium soak and loads of foot care and gratitude.
Push out of my comfort zone, then settle back in.
This way, I'm intentionally training my nervous system along with my brain and body and as I approach my 40th rotation I've never felt better.
