Ein Kurzfilm von Ìfẹ́olúwa Adeṣina (Nigeria/Litauen), Kima Petrosyan (Armenien) und Francisca Mazeda (Portugal), entstanden im "Labor Europa Osnabrück 2023". Während des Labors kamen rund 30 junge Europäer*innen in die Friedensstadt Osnabrück, um gemeinsam neun Tage lang an verschiedenen Projekten zusammen zu arbeiten. Diese Videoarbeit war dabei Teil einer Ausstellung im Kuntsraum hase29 unter dem Titel "Labor Europa 2023 – Dialoge neu denken“.

Ìfẹ́olúwa, Kima und Francisca setzen sich in ihrem Kurzfilm „Digital Reflections“ mit dem Einfluss, den Medien auf unsere Wahrnehmung und unser Handeln haben, auseinander -- und sie setzen dem performativen, stets zeigefreudigen Lebensstil, zu dem uns Soziale Medien verführen, den Wunsch entgegen, natürlich zu bleiben. Man selbst zu sein. Sein Ich nicht zu inszenieren, sondern es zu leben.

A short film by Ìfẹ́olúwa Adeṣina (Nigeria/Lithuania), Kima Petrosyan (Armenia) und Francisca Mazeda (Portugal), created as part of the "Lab Europe Osnabrück 2023" project. During the lab, around 30 young Europeans came to Osnabrück, the city of peace, in order to collaborate on various projects over the duration of nine days. This video formed a part of an art exhibition titled "Lab Europe 2023 – Rethinking Dialogues“ at the hase29 art and exhibition space.

Ìfẹ́olúwa, Kima and Francisca use their short film "Digital Reflections" as an exploration of the influence of media on our perception and our behaviour, juxtaposing the performative and extroverted lifestyle fomented by the use of social media with the desire to remain natural. To remain yourself. Not to stage-act your life, but to live it.
