In the documentary "A History of Dance on Screen", filmmaker Reiner E. Moritz tells the story of dance and its relationship with motion pictures – from early film to television and the Hollywood musical. The film features footage of legendary dancers and choreographers such as Alvin Ailey, Rudolf Nureyev, Pina Bausch, Anna Pavlova, Martha Graham, Maurice Béjart, Matthew Bourne, Margot Fonteyn, John Neumeier, Roland Petit, Sasha Waltz and others.
