This years Cheshire Run for older trucks and commercial vehicles took place over the same weekend as the Llandudno Transport Festival (see previous upload!), and was blessed with weather best described as "inclement". As a result, the turnout wasn't as varied as in previous years but was still ok, and in addition to the lorries taking part there were also some interesting cars out and about which I also managed to film. The 1956 Standard 8 did a fine job in getting us there and back.
As usual we congregated at the local old-car garage (which itself dates to 1928) in order to watch the entrants on the Cheshire Run 2023 driving by in their lorries and vans. It was impressive to see a number of old open-top classic cars with their roofs lowered too, including an Austin-Healey and a very well travelled Bond Minicar. The owner of a fine vintage Alvis 12/60 had, perhaps wisely, opted to raise his car's hood for the first time in a long time prior to heading over.
Also in this video - more nuggets of automobilia, MX5 news and more on the Dodge's misbehaving fuel pump.
Thanks to everyone that took part in the 2023 Cheshire Run despite the event clash and poor conditions, I'll include a link to the '22 meet at the end of this one to give a fairer overview of what typically takes place on the Cheshire Run.
