Padma, 12 years old, divides her life between school, where she stays at the boarding school for up to 3 months without returning to her family, and her village in upper Ladakh, GYA, swept by the winds at an altitude of 4,300 m. . In all schools in the world we learn somewhat the same things, but what we learn from grandparents, parents, from daily village life, is specific to each culture.
Without ever complaining or rebelling, Padma offers us a passage from childhood to adulthood, always with respect for older people, far from the "adolescent crises" of our Western societies.
