It's finally done~! I finally made myself sit down and blast through the rest of the video. Again these are a series of small clips from Charlotte radio which happened around mid 2015. These clips are not garaunteed to be in chronological order! Again, all translation corrects are welcome and highly appreciated!

So now some thoughts about the process and a blog-style review of the video (You really don't have to read this). My work habits are terrible. And this is seriously something I want to improve on so expect there to be more videos, and hopefully I can get them out in a more timely manner.

Btw, yes. I know the happy birthday bit was already translated by someone else but at that time I already had half of that clip translated. I thought it might be interesting to let people see how different people subtitle the same clip anyway and there were some extra bits afterwards that I wanted to sub as well. If you haven't seen it and you're interested in checking that out look for the channel "Pika Can't Sub".

I'm not sure if you've noticed but I did some light rework on the overall quality of the video as well as learned a few new tricks to make the subtitles more fun to read. Text now fades out so it's easier to tell when we're moving to a new clip! I've lowered opacity on text for when seiyuus are whispering and have been messing around with varying text sizes and intrusiveness to the layout of the video. I should probably mess around with text size more, but it does take a little longer to edit than other techniques. A lot of these tricks are very well known and done a lot in japanese transcriptions, you can find them if you seach 文字起こし (mojiokoshi) on youtube and a lot of us english subbers use them to help us translate or inspire us.

Also another note, I've found that translating Japanese can actually get harder the more you understand it. There's a section about 3/4ths of the way in where ayaneru says "私と好き合って下さい". (I put a little T/N there). I'm sure many of you recognize this line in anime, where someone is trying to ask someone else out with romantic feelings. But this line can also just mean "to do together", so ayaneru is asking uchiyama to do another radio show next week but says it in a way where it means she's asking him out. Since both meanings can be said using the exact same sentence, it's the the way you say it, I found it very difficult to translate the full cultural nuance of the line.
This is opposed to the very last clip where they say "尖った" (togatta) where I wasn't exactly sure what this meant culturally. I can look it up in a dictionary, but dictionaries don't tell you the cultural meaning behind words so I ended up translating the line directly, which does work most of the time but often leaves out some extra flavour otherwise present in the line.
