At 10:00AM the National Weather Service in Hastings, Nebraska issued a Test Tornado Warning for north central Kansas until 10:15AM on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022. Then, at 10:00:31 Mitchell County activated the Town of Cawker City Outdoor Warning Sirens, the activation consisted of a 3 minute Alert.
This was very disappointing. As y'all probably know, I live in Enid, OK and Cawker City is 4 1/2 hours away so we drove a total of 9-10 hours all for nothing. Right AFTER the test I was told that 3 out of 4 Allertors in town were disconnected, including this one. The Allertor on the northwest side is the only active one. I was honestly expecting this to happen because of my luck. I might eventually return to record the active Allertor though so hopefully they don't replace it or switch it off before I can. I did get to see a lot of places I've never been to including Tipton, KS and their ground mounted Allertor which is huge, so that was a plus
