Originally released around May 2019 by Mexico-based indie developer(s) OribeWare Games, Combate Monero features various characters from several Mexican indie comics.

Combate Monero is noted to have its combat system (and thus gameplay) be based on the Guilty Gear series in its Steam page. This is partly true, as this game also allows you to chain normal attacks to stronger normal attacks, but doesn't have air movement mechanics (as in, no airdashes or double jumps present) that the Guilty Gear series is partly known for. The combo structure in this game is also juggle-based, with some characters having higher juggle potential than others (partly due to their moveset allowing them). I doubt that OribeWare took inspiration from Strive (which features a juggle-based combo system) because this game was released before Strive was even properly revealed.

Notable game mechanics in Combate Monero include dash attacks (66 + any attack button), which differ depending on the input (for example, Centella Azul's light dash attack (66LP) launches the opponent), as well as an "Unblock Attack" (HP + HK), a slow-winding unblockable attack that uses a bar of meter and launches the opponent on hit. The game does provide an autocombo system, which is done by pressing LP repeatedly and throws out several normal attacks into a special move (and even a super attack if you keep on pressing LP while having enough meter), as well as two "Easy Super" buttons, which automatically does a super attack (which could use up to three bars of meter, depending on the super).

The game's story (as explained in this game's Arcade Mode) involves multiverse shenanigans. Erysictina, a meta-dimensional succubus who also serves as the main antagonist and final boss of the game, has devoured several universes, so in an attempt to stop her from causing reality to collapse, Demeter (a goddess who basically protects the multiverse, but was defeated (and banished) by Erysictina) summons your chosen character, who then confronts (and defeats) Erysictina. Oh, in addition to several other characters from other universes on your way to Erysictina (something about these characters being confused).
