On the first weekend of August, home after completing the tour du Mont Blanc, my wife and I went to Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) to summit some peaks of the Carneddau range. We had intended to complete six summits, but strong winds made us set up camp early and then head straight back to the Ogwen Valley in the morning, completing four summits and a wild camp. The mountains we summited were: Pen Yr Ole Wen (978m), Carnedd Dafydd (1044m), Yr Elen (962m) and Carnedd Llewelyn (1064m).
