Lemer Pax creates glass blocks through optical assembly of lead glass sheets. The block is a laminate with unmatched strength, especially when it comes to impact resistance.

This technology allows the company to produce very thick blocks, to simplify the design of radiation protection windows.

With this technology, each optical face of the lead glass is protected by extra clear protection glass. It provides four major advantages in terms of light transmission:
No need for additional protective glass (cold and hot sides) that causes transmission loss or condensation problems.
The lead glass is protected from chemical attack during cleaning procedures, so common glass cleaning products can be used.
Protection against surface oxidation, which in the long term causes significant losses in light transmission.
Less reflective, reduced mirror effect frequently encountered with high density glass. Thanks to the protective glass, this effect is reduced two-fold, so no anti-reflective treatment is needed (which is very fragile).

After many years of research and development, Lemer Pax is
today a leader in this type of manufacturing.
