Buka Suka Dimka was a Colonel in the Nigerian Army. He had a bright future in the Army and in the country. He had the benefit of the best possible professional training at home and abroad. But in 1975 Dimka did the unexpected; he masterminded the assassination of Gen. Murtala Mohammed, the military Head of State of Nigeria at the time. Dimka was arrested and tried in a military court marshal. He confessed to the crime and was found guilty and executed by firing squad. This brought an abrupt end to the life and time of Buka Suka Dimka.
