In an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18's Jude Sannith, Hitachi Energy's global CEO Claudio Facchin said the company was looking to expand its manufacturing footprint in India, even as supply chain headwinds remain. Facchin made these comments along the sidelines of Hitachi Energy launching its 18th plant in the country, which now sees the company's localisation levels lie between 80 and 85 percent. He added that despite a slowing global economic cycle, the transition to clean energy would remain largely unaffected. Facchin was accompanied by Venu Nuguri, MD of Hitachi Energy India Ltd who pointed out in the interview that the company's order book had doubled in the last nine months, even as the pipeline looks promising with prospective orders from the Indian Railways. The company has projected supply chain constraints to continue for two more quarters, even amid "long-term growth drivers" for the India business.
