What happened to Evelyn Foster on that Winter's night in 1931? Her taxi cab was found burnt out and Evelyn lay on the grass until she was found by friends passing.
She was very badly burnt and died after telling her mother what had happened. She claimed to have been assaulted by an unknown man. The inquest found it was murder but the Chief decided it was all her own doing.
Evelyn died from her burns and the man remained a mystery as he was never found.
