Meet Ishara Madhushani from Sri Lanka, one of our CCP Fellows 2023. She is a passionate advocate for political participation and focuses on encouraging young people to become politically active. Ishara is the co-founder of "Know the Law Movement", empowering young minds to actively engage in discussions shaping the future of democracy, human rights, and peace in Sri Lanka. As a lawyer and activist, she aims at strengthening the rule of law and good governance in her country. During her Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for International Peace and the Rule of Law, she worked on a research paper on the Executive Presidential System in Sri Lanka.
