This makeover has transformed our cold little hallway into a cozy, and most importantly, functional space. We kept the bench and moved it over to the opposite side allowing the space to be multifunctional, while making the right side into an office / art studio. We placed the baskets under the desk to act as little drawers for art supplies and notebooks. Hanging up the art brightened the area and gave it so much more charm and character, while the "Bonjour" sign acts as a greeting as visitors pass through the space to enter the rest of the home. When doing a gallery wall, make sure to pick your favorite pieces and lay them on the ground to get a visual before hanging. Move them around and mix and match the frames. Once you have the combination you like, measure with a measuring tape to ensure the proper spacing of everything. Always start with the largest piece and go from there. A leveler is very helpful! Use it if you have one.
