“The Wedding of the Waters” was how Governor Dewitt Clinton described the canal in 1825 when he carried a barrel of water from Lake Erie to the Atlantic on the maiden voyage. This trail left a deep impression on my soul—so much beauty to cram into a 7-day cycling trip in June of 2022. Please enjoy this is “ride-along”, extended video of the trail.
