Michigan State University Band Alumnus Henry Nelson, at age 93, is featured on piccolo and tuba with the MSU Spartan Marching Band at the Spartan Marching Band/Sparrow Hospital Concert For Kids. The annual concert/charity fundraiser was held September 20, 2015, in Okemos Michigan. The Nelson family boasts three generations of members in the MSU Band. Henry is recognized as the most veteran member of the MSU Alumni Band.
