This scale was made by Landers, Frary & Clark. Based on the design and condition it was likely produced between the 1890’s and early 1900’s. Landers, Frary & Clark was known for producing a wide variety of durable household items, including scales, during that time period. The ornate detailing on the side of this scale and its cast iron construction were also common features of their products from the turn of the century This particular scale model was likely used in a kitchen or general store, consistent with the company's offerings from that era. Based on its overall appearance, it was probably made between the 1890’s and 1920’s.
