Title: "Barcarole(舟歌)" by Chopin
(100x80cm; Mineral pigment, Mud pigment, Marble flour, White clay and Silver leaf on the canvas)

This artwork was inspired by Chopin's late piano work, Barcarolle. I'm currently practicing this song:) I expressed the unique rhythm, like a rocking boat, and beautiful melody of this song using the arrangement of circles, and composition of colors.
A pattern that surrounds a motif in a circle is called a "Marumon" in Japan, and is often used for family crests. It also became popular during the Edo period as one of the kimono designs.

Many artworks have cheered me up when a sad thing happened to me personally. After this experience, I wanted to become someone who could cheer people up through art, so I started learning Japanese painting.
In Japan, early in the new year, I guess, people often feel gloomy due to the news of earthquakes and accidents. I would be happy if I could cheer you up even a little through my art.
