In this video, I present the relation between certain algebraic curves and their polynomial equation. After looking at several examples in dimension 2, I ask the question of the unicity of an equation for a given curve. This leads to the introduction of polynomial ideals. We then introduce the concept of radical ideals, which allow us to formulate Hilbert's Nullstellensatz.
