In this video I go through the steps I take to install river rock tile on a shower floor. River rock is a popular type of tile used for shower floors; they are also called pebble floors. This is a sliced or shaved river rock, which means that the surface of the shower floor will be flat, other types of river rock are rounded and result in a bumpy floor. In this type of installation I can avoid cutting the tiles since I set them in place one at a time, also known as "single set" To prepare for this type of installation, all the pebbles must be removed from the mesh mount, this can usually be done by simply pulling them off one at a time. I also show how to install the Schluter Kerdi Line linear drain grate and how to adjust the height for the shower floor tile.It is important to be sure to set the tiles with the clean side up as the back of the tile will have residue of the mesh they were mounted to.
