“When David Keenan puts pen to paper, and then sets those words to music, the everyday becomes the extraordinary. A native of Dundalk, Ireland; the young singer-storyteller started to carve out his path in 2015. A clutch of self-released, well-received EP collections and immersive, all-embracing live performances in Ireland has brought him to his debut album - "A Beginner's Guide To Bravery" - a striking record of fascinating tales set to indelible tunes. Drawing on an eclectic range of influences compassing music to theatre to literature, David Keenan's keenly observed celebrations of misfits, underdogs and heartsore souls are an entrance to a soundworld entirely of his own creation.”

Taking a little break from all things bass related with this video (so the views probably won’t be as good haha but we move with it). Tried out a different style of video making too so we’ll see how that goes.

David is an incredible artist and a gifted musician and writer, and his unique vocal style I find hugely impressive and pleasing to listen to. ‘Alchemy & Prose’ is a live album recorded by David and his band to celebrate record store day.

Admittedly I rushed this video a bit to get it out, so inevitably, there will be mistakes, especially with the low notes and the allocation of registers. I used Falsetto as an umbrella term for falsetto and head voice as to be honest I don’t know how to tell them apart based on sound alone. A lot of the time he ad-libs and sings between notes, making tuning difficult.

I don’t own any of the videos, photos or music. Sue me.

Next video will be a compilation of compilations lol. Possibly a YouTube record too…. will hopefully be uploaded by the end of the week
