I left San Juan Del Sur in Nicaragua and went to La Fortuna. When I crossed the border into Costa Rica I couldn't find a bus station because there wasn't any for at least another 7km. So I had to hit the bus stop on a motorcycle and catch the last few buses to get to La Fortuna. Not many people were in my hostel so I ended up going places with some of the workers who had just arrived and didn't want to go alone. We ended up hiking up an extinguished Volcano that has a small lake at the top that you can swim in. It was very difficult to get there but after 6 hours we finally made it back to the hostel covered in mud. The next day we to some free waterfalls that were just a 25-minute walk away from the hostel and it ended up being very nice.
