In a surprising survey of car buyers, three fourths of Americans under the age of 40 said they would consider buying a Chinese-branded car, were they available in the US market. About a quarter of those over 60 said they would consider a Chinese model

Younger respondents cited better features, fast recharging times, slick styling, and superior technology. Most of all, they agreed that Chinese car prices are much more affordable than comparable models from US, European, and other Asian carmakers.

While privacy concerns were noted across all age groups, this question is not country-of-origin-specific, however, as news broke recently that other carmakers were selling driver data to insurance companies.
