I really enjoyed fresh steamed rice on my last backpacking trip. The Daiso Mess Tin worked really well with the gas canister stove.
I wanted to try it again using a single 14g Esbit cube and the Firebox Titanium Nano. I had previously picked up the titanium solid fuel plate but haven't tried it out yet.
Using solid fuel to make steamed rice is an easy process. All you have to do is burn the Esbit cube all the way down, cover the tin with a cloth, flip it over, and then let it steam for 10-15 minutes.

1 14g Esbit cube
1 rice cup (~3/4 cup) of Nishiki Premium Medium Grain Rice
200ml water
Parchment paper
