On Sunday 12 November 2023 I travelled up to Alton Towers with Andy to take on the Alton Towers Half Marathon Hoping the curse would be lifted after yet another race mishap last year. We got there early to avoid the rush and relax before the race on a nice crisp morning. In our typical style we left bag drop until the last minute and had to rush to the start as the weather took a turn for the worse. A wet, cold and crowded race on a hilly course full of Half Marathon and 5K runners tested us but we got through it and I surprised myself with the result. An oversubscribed event and wet conditions meant longer waiting times for the rides but we still had fun and Andy celebrated his first ever 'Poo B'. Come and join me for a race around a theme park.
